Louisiana Disaster Recovery Unit is seeking over $51,000

NEW ORLEANS – The state of Louisiana is seeking over $51,000.

The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Tiffani Beckham and Byron Beckham.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account the defendant has failed to pay off. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff the balance owed for services delivered. Currently, the defendant is indebted for the balance of $51,637.84 plus interest. The plaintiff has made amicable demand but to no avail.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-11065.
