Simmons Construction files lawsuit seeking over $43,000

GRETNA – A construction company is seeking more than $43,000 in sums due.

Christopher Simmons Construction Co. LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Suzette Doucet.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account the defendant has failed to pay off. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff the balance owed for services delivered. Currently, the defendant is indebted for the balance of $43,740 plus interest. The plaintiff has made amicable demand but to no avail.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Robert Braiwick Jr in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
