Autovest files court action seeking more than $3,100 in sums due

GRETNA – An auto loan company is seeking more than $3,100 in sums due.

Autovest LLC, assignee of GFC Lendig LLC, filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Alfred Weston Jr.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account the defendant has failed to pay off for the sale of a vehicle. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff the balance owed for services delivered. Currently, the defendant is indebted for the balance of $3,156.31 plus interest. The plaintiff has made amicable demand but to no avail.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph Fick Jr. of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789097.
