State's Disaster Recovery Unit seeks over $56,000 on unpaid loan

GRETNA – The state of Louisiana is seeking more than $56,000 from a resident.

State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Paul Matthew Montz and James Montz.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an unpaid account. The suit states the defendant has remained negligent on a loan that was given by the plaintiff. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has remained negligent in the balance owed of $56,834.44 plus interest. The plaintiff has sought amicable demand but to no avail.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an unpaid account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
