Hospital visitor claims she was electrocuted

GRETNA – A woman alleges that she was caused to be electrocuted in a hospital.

Wanda M. Davis filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ochsner System and ABC Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for negligence in an incident. The suit states that the plaintiff was a guest of a patient on Nov. 30, 2017 at the address of 1516 Jefferson Highway when the incident took place. Allegedly, the plaintiff was sitting in a reclining chair when she was suddenly electrocuted by touching a metal prong that was sticking out of a socket behind her chair. The plaintiff has been caused damages due to the incident.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failing to take the appropriate measure of care.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Frank D'Amico Sr.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John Molaison Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789803.
