Southeastern Louisiana University claims former student owes over $2,200

GRETNA – A university is seeking over $2,200 from a student.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Luis Suarez.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off a balance due on an account to the plaintiff. The plaintiff is currently seeking payment in the balance of $2,229.30 plus interest. Despite amicable demand, the defendant has failed to pay what they owe to the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jessie Cannon of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.
