Plaintiff's lawsuit seeks over $88,000 from an individual

GRETNA – A man is seeking more than $88,000 from an individual.

Felix F. Castaneda filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Juan C. Saavedra.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on a note. The suit states the defendant has been negligent in a balance owed to the plaintiff. The plaintiff is seeking payment in the balance of $70,138 plus late fees of $18,000 and interest of 25 percent. Despite amicable demand, the plaintiff has yet to receive payment from the defendant.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a note.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Robert Braiwick Jr. in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.
