Woman files lawsuit citing her injury in a thrift store

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she was allegedly injured in a thrift store.

Donna J. Hale filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in the 24th Judicial District Court against M&M Management Co., dba Red, White and Blue Thrift Store.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 4, 2017 when the plaintiff was a customer at the defendant's property located at 605 Lapalco Blvd. in Gretna. The suit states the plaintiff was caused to be struck by the defendant's employees who were rushing through the aisle. The plaintiff was caused pain and suffering due to the action of the defendant.

The defendant is accused of negligent for an incident.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Shelly Hale of the Law Offie of Shelly R. Hale LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789980.
