GRETNA – A mortgage company is seeking over $108,000 in sums due.

Standard Mortgage Corp. filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Earl J. Maher Jr.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an unpaid mortgage balance. The suit states the plaintiff is seeking payment from the defendant who has remained negligent in the balance that is being sought. The plaintiff is seeking $108,554.76 plus interest of 4 percent every year from April 1, 2018 until the balance is paid.

The defendant is accused of sums due an an unpaid mortgage.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Fred Daigle of Graham, Arceneaux & Allen LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib.
