Disaster Recovery Unit claims it is owed more than $67,500

GRETNA – The state of Louisiana is seeking more than $67,500 in sums due.

The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Antoinette Marie Hutchison, aka Antoinette Garrett.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on a repair grant that was given to the defendant by the plaintiff. The plaintiff states that the defendant has been negligent in paying off the balance owed to the plaintiff and that they are currently indebted for the balance of $37,500 plus interest and fees of $30,000.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a loan.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Mary Catherine Cali of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 789894.
