Southeastern Louisiana University files court action seeking over $1,000 from a student who allegedly failed to pay for attending

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $1,000 in sums due.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Ramos D. Travis.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the plaintiff is seeking $1,032.75 plus interest, and that despite amicable demand, the defendant has not paid the amount owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Jessie Cannon of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher Bruno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-11790.
