Nicholls State sues former student for debt of over $3,200, after the individual allegedly failed to pay for attending

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $3,200 in sums due.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Nicholls State University filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Rahmon Parker.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the  plaintiff is seeking a balance of $3,216.70 plus interest, and that despite amicable demand, the defendant has not paid the balance.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Kaila Hutchison of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Melvin Zeno.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2018-11783.
