GRETNA – A man is seeking damages for an injury he sustained when a metal rod struck his shoulder.
Eric P. Orgeron filed a complaint on Dec. 10 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Academy Ltd.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 30, 2017. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the defendant's property at 8843 Veterans Memorial Blvd in Metairie when he was injured when he was struck on the shoulder by a metal rod. The plaintiff alleges the defendant was negligent by failing to ensure the rod was at an appropriate height.
The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to take the appropriate measures to prevent injury.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Peyton Burkhalter in Metairie.
