Fireman's credit union files lawsuit seeking over $23,000

GRETNA – A credit union is seeking more than $23,000 in sums due.

New Orleans Firemen's Federal Credit Union filed a complaint on Dec. 17 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Ivan Weber, aka Ivan Weber Jr.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off a promissory note that was issued by the plaintiff. The plaintiff alleges they are owed $23,278 plus interest. The plaintiff claims that despite amicable demand, they have not yet received payment from the defendant.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph Mouton II of D'Aquila, Contreras & Vega in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 790500.
