Midfirst Bank seeks over $111,000 on unpaid mortgage

GRETNA –A bank is seeking more than $111,000 in sums due on a mortgage.

Midfirst Bank filed a complaint on Dec. 17 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Joseph Harris Jr. and Raquelle Ellis Harris.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an unpaid mortgage. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed to the plaintiff. The plaintiff is seeking payment of $111,384.02 plus interest of 4.125 percent. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an unpaid mortgage.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Donald Morgan of Kizer, Hood and Morgan in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.
