GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after a toy fell on her in a Walmart.

Brenda A. Muntz filed a complaint on Dec. 21 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Inc. and XYZ Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 21, 2017 when the plaintiff was a guest of the Walmart at 8912 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie. The suit states the plaintiff was struck by a falling child's toy that hit her in the face.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to take the necessary precautions.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gail Snakeberg in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.
