Discover Bank seeks more than $10,000 on open account

GRETNA – A bank is seeking more than $10,000 from a customer.

Discover Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Carey J. Hoffman.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed to the plaintiff, which is $10,431.62 plus interest. Despite amicable demand, the defendant allegedly has failed to pay the balance due.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Blake Guidry of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John Molaison Jr.
