Discover Bank files lawsuit seeking over $1,500

GRETNA – Discover Bank is seeking more than $1,500 in sums due from a woman who allegedly failed to pay off a credit card balance.

Discover Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Gena M. Wilson.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the balance owed of $1,540 plus interest. The plaintiff allegedly has sought amicable demand, but to no avail from the defendant who remains negligent in the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to the Division E judge who is currently pro tempore.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 790848.
