Discover Bank claims customer owes more than $9,000

GRETNA – Discover Bank alleges that a customer is indebted for more than $9,000 in credit card bills.

Discover Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Craig J. Berthelot.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off a balance of $9,020.86 plus interest. The defendant allegedly accumulated the balance on a credit card and has been negligent in paying the balance off.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael Mentz.
