Discover Bank files lawsuit seeking credit card balance of over $18,000

GRETNA – Discover Bank is seeking more than $18,000 on an open account.

Discover Bank filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Anthony Macaluso.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off a credit card balance in the amount of $18,534. Despite alleged amicable demands, the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due on an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Paul Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 791167.
