Woman files lawsuit claiming she slipped and fell at a Circle K store

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she fell at a gas station.

Mary Hobson filed a complaint on Jan. 14 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Circle K Stores Inc, Phoenix Insurance Co., and Exxon Mobil Corp.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 17, 2018. The plaintiff alleges she was at the Circle K store when she was caused to slip and fall on the defendant's property, due to what she describes as a dangerous condition.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to prevent an injury from taking place/

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by James Carter of Carter & McKee LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee Faulkner Jr.
