Woman seeks damages for injury she allegedly suffered in a McDonald's

NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges she was caused to be injured in a McDonald's due to a dangerous situation. 

Chantrell Rock filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against McDonald's Corp. and CLB Investments LLC, dba McDonald's.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 27, 2018 when the plaintiff was at the McDonald's at 1918 North Broad St. The plaintiff was allegedly caused to be injured due to a dangerous situation that the defendant neither cleaned up nor warned of.

The defendant is accused of negligence for an incident they failed to prevent.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Laurence Cohen in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney Cates IV.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2019-263.
