Woman sues assisted living residence after alleged fall

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages from injuries she claims were sustained in a fall at the assisted living center where she resides.

Lillian Henderson filed a complaint against Bella Vie Living Center LLC on Feb. 1 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident which took place on February 4, 2018, when Henderson claims she was caused to slip and fall in a restroom at the Bella Vie Living Center, as she did not have the aid she needed to remain safe.

The defendant is accused of negligence and failure to handle a patient appropriately. The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. Henderson is represented by Ryan J. Hughes in New Orleans.


The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
