University of New Orleans seeks $4,300 from negligent student

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans is suing a former student, seeking more than $4,000 in sums due on an open account.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors filed a complaint through the university against Junes Craig Williams on Jan. 25 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant owes the balance of $4,295.00 plus interest for attending the plaintiff's institution.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The university board is represented by attorney Jessie L. Cannon of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.


The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
