GRETNA – A man who claims he was struck by a Red Bull vehicle is seeking damages in a lawsuit.

John Gianoli filed a complaint against Safety National Casualty Corporation, Rachel Lewis, Red Bull North America Inc dba Red Bull and Geico Casualty Company on Feb. 8 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 8, 2018, when the defendant Lewis was driving a vehicle owned by Red Bull.

The suit states that the defendant made an allegedly illegal turn, striking the plaintiff's vehicle. The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.


The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Christopher B. Giof of Dudley Debosier APLC of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
