GRETNA – The State of Louisiana alleges it is owed $37,500 on a grant.
The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit filed a complaint on Feb. 11 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Kathy Lynn Martin.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an unpaid grant. The suit states the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $37,500 from a grant that was to be used for home repairs. The defendant allegedly misused the funding and has failed to pay back the grant funds.
The defendant is accused of sums due on a grant.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.
