GRETNA –The State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit alleges that it is owed $37,500 on a grant that was misused.
The state filed a complaint against Kara Shreves Gould on Feb. 7 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that it approved a grant for home repairs but that the defendant misused the funds and is now indebted to the plaintiff for $37,500 in sums due.
The state is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John C. Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Metairie.
