American Express sues business customer for $10,000 debt

GRETNA – American Express is seeking more than $10,000 it claims a customer owes on a business account.

American Express National Bank filed a complaint against Marilyn Thornton and MST Enterprises LLC on Feb. 1 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of $10,289.74 plus interest, claiming that despite amicable demand the defendant remains negligent.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. American Express is represented by Paul S. Brennan of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in Metairie.


The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
