GRETNA – A bank is seeking nearly $39,000 from a woman it claims has been negligent on a balance owed.

Trustmark National Bank filed a complaint against Rosalie Burse on Jan. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an executory process. The suit states that the defendant has been negligent in making payments on an account, leaving her indebted for $38,967.42 plus interest for the payments missed.


The defendant is accused of sums due on an executory process. The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. Trustmark National Bank is represented by Amy E. Schapansky of Shapiro & Daigrepont LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
