Louisiana Federal Credit Union seeks $1.2M mortgage debt

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana Federal Credit Union is seeking more than $1 million on an unpaid mortgage.

The credit union filed a complaint against 1828 Washington Ave., LLC on Feb. 15 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff states that the defendant is indebted for the balance of $1,195,427.41 on a mortgage for which the monthly obligation has been neglected. The defendant is accused of sums due on a note.

Louisiana Federal Credit Union seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jeffrey A. Jones of D'Aquila, Contreras & Vega in Kenner.


The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Rachael Johnson.
