LSU claims former student owes nearly $1,000

GRETNA — Louisiana State University (LSU) is seeking nearly $1,000 from a former student the school alleges failed to bring her account up to date.

LSU's Board of Supervisors through LSU filed a complaint against Bria Lenai Williams on Feb. 25 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, Williams failed to pay off a balance of $787 plus interest.

LSU is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by Jessie L. Cannon of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.


The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
