GRETNA – A woman has filed a lawsuit claiming she was struck by a trash truck driver who drove into her car.
Rose Sumner filed a complaint on Feb. 27 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Michael Wilson, Waste Connections of Louisiana Inc., and Ace American Insurance Co.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 5, 2018 when she was driving a 2015 Mercedes Benz ML 350 on August Avenue in Marrero. The plaintiff claims she was struck by the defendant, who drove into the plaintiff's vehicle.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Loretta Hoskins of Dudley Debosier in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
