GRETNA – A man alleges he was injured in a Harvey break room because vending companies allegedly failed to inspect and clean the floor.

Paul Bourg filed a complaint on Feb. 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Five Star Vending Services, Lewis Brown Vending and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. United Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 15, 2018. The plaintiff alleges he was walking in the break room at his place of employment in Harvey and slipped and fell because of a clear liquid that had accumulated on the floor.

The defendants are accused of negligence because of their alleged failure to properly inspect, maintain and warn of the area's condition and failure to timely inspect and clean the floor.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by William S. Turner III in Harvey.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
