Pair claims they were sold tainted Lunchables at a Walgreens store

GRETNA – Two individuals are seeking damages after they allegedly consumed Lunchables that were tainted and unsafe for consumption.

Jessica Buchanan and Quiana Martin filed a complaint on March 25 in the 24th Judicial District Court against The Kraft Heinz Co., XYZ Insurance Co., Walgreen Louisiana Co. Inc. and ABC Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place after the plaintiffs purchased Lunchables at the Walgreens at 4100 Williams Blvd. The plaintiffs assumed the Lunchables were safe for human consumption, however, the plaintiffs suffered food poisoning.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jahida Lewis Crawford of the Law Offices of Lewis-Crawford in Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald Rowan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 793451.
