Woman claims she was injured when product fell off a rack and hit her in a Walmart Supercenter

GRETNA – A woman is suing Walmart, alleging that she was injured in a Supercenter when a box of products fell on her.

Katherine Riedel filed a complaint on March 28 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Inc., fka Walmart Stores Inc., Walmart Louisiana LLC, and ABC Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 2, 2018, when the plaintiff was shopping at the Walmart Supercenter at 5110 Jefferson Highway. The plaintiff alleges she was caused to be injured when a large box of product fell from the top of a rack and struck the plaintiff, resulting in injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney's fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by George Riedel in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond Steib Jr.
