Woman claims she tripped over a clothing rack in a Dillard's store

GRETNA – A woman is suing a department store, alleging she was caused to trip over a clothing rack and injure her wrists.

Mary Ann Monistere Et Vir filed a complaint on April 1 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Dillard's Department Stores Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place when the plaintiff was trying on pants at the defendant's property. The plaintiff claims she was caused to trip over a clothing rack as she exited the dressing room, falling and injuring both of her wrists.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by C.A. Fleming III of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
