Woman claims Circle K's negligence caused her injuries

GRETNA – A woman is suing Circle K, alleging that she tripped and fell over a dangerous obstacle.

Maria LeBlanc filed a complaint on April 5 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Circle K Stores Inc. and Travelers Constitution State Insurance Company. According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took pace on July 11, 2018 when the plaintiff was at the defendant's location of 2209 North Causeway Blvd., Metarie.

The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall over a concrete post that was barely visible, causing her to be injured. The defendant is accused of negligence.


The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. LeBlanc is represented by Andrew Geiger of Alan Berger & Associates PLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
