Woman alleges Sam's Club employee ran over her foot

GRETNA – A woman is suing Walmart, alleging that she was injured when her foot was run over by a negligent employee.

Irenita Assensoh filed a complaint on April 8 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Walmart Inc., dba Sam's Club. According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 8, 2018 when the plaintiff was at the defendant's property located at 3900 Airline Drive., Metairie. 

The plaintiff was caused to be injured when she had her feet violently rolled over by the defendant's employee, who was operating a motorized machine, resulting in injuries to the plaintiff. The defendant is accused of negligence.


The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. Assensoh is represented by Pius A. Obioha of the Law Offices of Pius A. Obioha & Associates LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
