Lawsuit claims IHOP responsible for man's injuries

GRETNA – A man is suing an IHOP, alleging that he was injured in a slip and fall.

Alberto Rayon filed a complaint on April 9 in the 24th Judicial District Court against IHOP Restaurants, Ruba LLC and ABC Insurance Company. According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on November 30, 2018 when the plaintiff was a guest at the defendant's property. The lawsuit alleges that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall, resulting in injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence. The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. Rayon is represented by Leo Caillier & Associates LLC in Gretna.


The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
