Lawsuit alleges The Pilates Loft studio is responsible for member's injuries

GRETNA – A man is suing a pilates training center, alleging he was injured while using one of the establishment's workout machines.

Kyle B. Kloor filed a complaint against Atlantic Casualty Insurance Co., The Pilates Loft LLC, Brady Hitt and ABC Insurance Co. on April 12 in the 24th Judicial District Court. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 19, 2018, when the plaintiff was using the ARX machine and the machine allegedly malfunctioned, resulting in an impingement and labrum tear in his right shoulder.

The defendant is accused of negligence, and the plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Brian King of The King Law Firm in New Orleans. 


The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle Taylor.
