BENTON -- A woman is suing an Arkansas furniture store after allegedly having suffered personal injury when a stool fell out from beneath her as she was sitting on it.

Cynthia Reed filed a complaint on July 16 in the Circuit Court of Saline County against Arkansas Furniture, Inc. for personal injury.

According to the complaint, Reed was sitting on a stool in the Arkansas Furniture store, when it broke beneath her. The stool breaking caused her to fall and suffer injury, she claims.

When she talked to an employee, the employee said that the stool should not have been out on the showroom floor, the suit says.

Reed seeks pre- and post-judgement interest, monetary compensation, attorney's fees and cost of suit. Reed is represented by Thomas L. Barron of Bear State Law, PLLC.
