Celebrating 55 Years of Civil Rights: Moving from Why to How

Louisiana State Bar Association issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.

Thank you to all the participants at 13th Annual Conclave on Diversity in the Legal Profession, "Celebrating 55 Years of Civil Rights: Moving from Why to How."

Local and national speakers led riveting discussions on civil rights, criminal justice and voting rights. New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell presented a “Key to the City” to Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson (Ret.) for her trailblazing work as Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court. Sharonda Williams (Loyola University New Orleans) was presented with the Committee on Diversity in the Legal Profession Award.

A special thank you to our fantastic speakers (both in-person and virtual!): Hon. Dana Cutler, Hon. Keith Cutler, James Carter, Alanah Odoms, L.
