Louisiana State Bar Association recently issued the following announcement.
Shayna L. Sonnier of Lake Charles and Lawrence J. Centola III of New Orleans have been certified elected for 2022-23 LSBA president-elect and 2022-24 LSBA treasurer, respectively, following the close of election qualifying on Oct. 18. Kristen D. Amond of New Orleans has been certified elected for 2022-23 LSBA Young Lawyers Division secretary.
Sonnier will automatically ascend to the LSBA presidency in 2023-24.
Sonnier is a partner in the Lake Charles firm of Hunter, Hunter & Sonnier, LLC. Centola is a principal of the New Orleans firm of Martzell, Bickford & Centola, APLC.
Amond will automatically ascend to Young Lawyers Division chair-elect in 2023-24. Current LSBA YLD Secretary Senae D. Hall of Shreveport will automatically ascend to 2022-23 chair-elect and 2023-24 chair.
Hall is an assistant district attorney in the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office in Shreveport. Amond is a partner in the New Orleans office of Mills & Amond, LLP.
