Louisiana State Bar Association recently issued the following announcement.
The LSBA is partnering with Vacations at Sea Travel to offer an exciting CLE opportunity while cruising France’s Rhone River! An information session will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7; participants may attend via Zoom or in-person at the Louisiana Bar Center. Guests must be fully vaccinated to attend this session in-person and to participate in the cruise itself.
The “Colors of Provence” cruise will be held Thursday, March 23 through Thursday, March 30, 2023, aboard the award-winning AmaKristina. Participants on this unique voyage can join special tours that are designed to bring Europe’s rich wine heritage to life. The cruise will include excursions in Avignon, Viviers, Tournon, Lyon, the Beaujolais wine region, and more.
From romantic cities to foodie havens and artistic epicenters, this itinerary enlivens all your senses. Enjoy a bike ride along the Rhône and view the inspiration behind several of Vincent Van Gogh’s most famous paintings. Visit enchanting Provençal towns and search for highly-prized “Black Diamond” truffles. Savor the beauty of legendary French vineyards and imbibe in local vintages like Beaujolais and Côtes du Rhône. Taste the delicacies offered by butchers, bakers, chocolatiers and cheesemongers of Lyon, considered the “Food Capital of France.”
One hour of CLE will be offered on five days of the cruise, scheduled around shore excursions and shipboard activities.
As stated above, an information session will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7; participants may attend via Zoom or in-person at the Founders Room of the Louisiana Bar Center (601 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans). An Ama representative will make a presentation and answer questions, as will a travel agent. As per Ama, guests must be fully vaccinated (two vaccines) to attend this session in-person and to participate in the cruise itself.
