A Louisiana couple say a Dodge Durango they purchased was defective.

Michael R. Liker and Bonnie G. Liker filed their lawsuit in federal court against FCA US LLC.

According to the complaint, the couple bought a 2021 Dodge Durango on October 21, 2021, at Lakeshore CDJR in Kenner.

Shortly after the purchase, they say they discovered defects in materials and workmanship. The issues included a check engine light defect and a rattle in the motor, according to the complaint.

Despite returning their Durango to the defendant and its authorized dealers for repairs on numerous occasions, the couple claims the defendant has failed to repair the vehicle.

The sales price of the Durango was $58,300, and the plaintiffs are seeking an award for nonpecuniary damages under La. Civil Code Articles 1998 in the amount of $50,000.
