State of Louisiana sues Craig L. Curley for child molestation and sexual battery

In the case of State of Louisiana versus Craig L. Curley, Sr., court case ID No. 2023-KA-0498, filed in the Court of Appeal, Fourth Circuit, a decision was affirmed on March 18, 2024. The defendant, Craig L. Curley, Sr., had appealed his convictions and sentences for multiple charges related to child molestation and sexual battery.

The details of the case reveal that Curley was charged with three counts: molestation of a juvenile under thirteen, indecent behavior with a juvenile under thirteen, and sexual battery of a victim under thirteen. The alleged victim in all three instances was Curley's daughter. The trial began on July 19, 2022 in Orleans Parish Criminal District Court.
