In the United States District Court, Middle District of Louisiana, Natalie Rigby has filed a civil action (No. 3:24-cv-264) against the Board of Supervisors of the Louisiana State University and Agricultural Mechanical College (LSU). The case was lodged on April 3, 2024.

The plaintiff, Natalie Rigby, a former employee of LSU alleges retaliation under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 and reverse race discrimination claims. She was hired by LSU in 1993 as an Administrative Specialist in the International Student Office and had a positive work record for her twenty-eight years with the institution. Mrs. Rigby accuses Dr. Hector Zapata, the Associate Vice Provost of LSU International Programs and her former supervisor, of gender-based harassment starting from 2013.

Mrs. Rigby further alleges that Samba Dieng, who replaced Dr. Zapata as her supervisor in January 2021, targeted older workers including herself. She claims that Mr. Dieng falsely accused her of committing errors in her assignments or not performing necessary functions adequately.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for the alleged age discrimination and reverse race discrimination perpetrated by her supervisors at LSU.
