Attorney General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit arrests Independence man for Pornography Involving Juveniles

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit arrested a man from Independence on November 6, 2024.

23-year-old Michael L. Strahan, of Arthur Bankston Road in Independence, was arrested for violating:

LA R.S. 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles, Under the age of 17 (Felony) 20 Counts

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit and Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task

Force, and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Strahan was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

His bond information is unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
