Michelle S. Parker has filed a lawsuit against Sarah Broadway Trichel, alleging defamation of character, public humiliation, and emotional distress among other grievances. The complaint was submitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on January 9, 2025. Parker accuses Trichel of making false statements that have severely impacted her personal and professional life.

The case revolves around a series of incidents where Parker claims that Trichel made defamatory statements to the Fort Worth Police Department and her manager, damaging her reputation. These allegations include false reports of Parker being taken away in a police car and acting erratically. According to Parker, these actions have led to significant public humiliation and emotional distress, affecting her mental health and well-being. She cites Louisiana Civil Code Article § 2315.6 as the basis for her claim that Trichel's actions caused harm to her personal and business reputation.

Parker further alleges that despite her requests for Trichel to cease such behavior, the harassment continued unabated. This included an incident at a McDonald's restaurant where Trichel allegedly humiliated Parker in front of patrons. Parker claims this persistent behavior demonstrates a willful intent by Trichel to cause harm, violating Louisiana Revised Statute (RS) § 14:40.2 regarding harassment.

In addition to defamation and public humiliation, Parker asserts that Trichel made false statements to her manager, jeopardizing her employment status. These statements purportedly described Parker as being placed in a police car and behaving psychotically—claims she vehemently denies as unfounded.

Parker is seeking several forms of relief from the court: an injunction against Trichel to prevent further defamatory actions; compensatory damages amounting to $25,000 plus court costs for emotional distress; punitive damages intended to deter similar conduct in the future; and any additional relief deemed appropriate by the court.

Representing herself in this matter, Michelle S. Parker has laid out these grievances with hopes that swift judicial intervention will prevent further damage to her reputation and mental health.
