The Louisiana Bar Foundation will recognize LSU Law alumni Hon. Cynthia T. Woodard (ret.) (’81), Glenn Armentor (’77), and Frank Neuner, Jr. (’76) as three of four 2024 Distinguished Honorees at the 39th Annual Fellows Gala on April 11.

Woodard will be honored as the 2024 Distinguished Jurist. She graduated from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1981 and practiced law at McKeithen, Wear, Ryland & Woodard prior to being elected to the bench in 1996. Woodard served as a District Judge for Division A of the Third Judicial District Court serving Lincoln and Union parishes for 21 years. She was also a part-time instructor at Grambling State University, Louisiana State University, and Louisiana Tech University.

Armentor has been named the 2024 Distinguished Attorney. Shortly after graduating from LSU Law, he started his own personal injury law firm, The Glenn Armentor Law Corporation. His humble upbringing inspired his personal and professional philosophy to champion the cause for disadvantaged citizens. In March 2020, LSU Law recognized Armentor with the Distinguished Achievement Award. He is a member emeritus of the LSU Law Alumni Board of Trustees and serves on the LSU Board of Supervisors.

Neuner is the recipient of the Calogero Justice Award. Named in honor of Chief Justice Pascal F. Calogero, Jr., this award is presented to an individual or organization for a significant contribution to the Louisiana justice system. Neuner is the founding partner of NeunerPate (formerly Laborde & Neuner). His commitment to serving his community, state, and the legal profession influenced his firm’s culture of community service and providing pro bono legal service. Neuner was honored as LSU Law’s Distinguished Alumnus in 2008. He currently serves as a member of the LSU Law Alumni Board of Trustees.

The Louisiana Bar Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) entity that exists to preserve, honor, and improve our system of justice by funding, developing, or otherwise promoting efforts which enhance the legal profession, increase public understanding of the legal system and advance the reality of equal justice under the law. It is the largest state funder of civil legal aid that provides services to individuals facing non-criminal, civil legal challenges.
